Museum of Anthopology is affiliated with the Department of Anthropology. Several faculty hold cross-appointments in MOA and the Department of Anthropology. MOA maintains an impressive collection focussing on the First Nations of British Columbia. The museum provides edcational and research opportunities for students and faculty in the Anthropology Department. MOA and the Laboratory of Archaeology are partners in a joint CFI (Canadian Foundation for Innovation) grant to renovate the Museum through the developent of a materials research wing.
