Research interests: I am interested in the politics of people who are not openly involved in political actions. Particularly I am interested in the way indigenous people contest forms of marginality through bodily practices that produce places and dispute dominant organization of space. I am interested in issues of subject formation and identity in relation to the making of "natural" and "urban" places. I have been working these topics in the Chaco region (Northern Argentina) among urban Tobas indigenous people.

Current Projects: I am currently finishing research based on the question of why do Toba people in an urban neighborhood continue to use and think of the bush as a significant place even though it does not guarantee economic subsistence? In this I analyze the tensions between a discourse on progress related to the migration to the city and the use of the bush which is associated with poverty and backwardness in this context, but simultaneously offers a space to cope with marginality in the city. I am interested in continue to analyze spatial mobility between the people in this neighborhood, rural communities and big cities (as Buenos aires and Rosario) as a tactic that confronts spatial forms of discipline.
