Research Interests:
I am writing my MA Thesis on what I am calling 'New Organic Farmers' and their role in contemporary agriculture. Through ethnographic fieldwork, I am exploring the identities of farmers who identify with the 'local food movement' and how these identities impact daily life on the farm, but importantly how they impact the public sphere and media. I also focus on the notion of 'community' among New Organic Farmers on farms, farmers markets and at educational institutions and the effects of community on identities.

Current Projects:

I am working towards finishing my MA thesis and publishing a paper entitled "New Middle Class Identity in 'Lived' and 'Public' Spheres: A Case Study of New Organic Farmers within the Local Food Movement".
