Research Interests:

I am interested in the social and political context of archaeology, the impact of heritage research on people today, and the implications of archaeological philosophy in society more broadly. This includes considering representations of archaeology; control over anthropological research and its products; anti-oppressive and applied archaeology; and the intersection between archaeology, heritage, place, and identity.

Dissertation:

My PhD research considers how ideology is constructed, communicated, and controlled in Pacific Spirit Park, Vancouver, B.C. Using a cultural landscape perspective, my focus is on representations of the park and its history as a site of conflict between Indigenous and settler interests.
