Research interests: Cultural dimensions of health, illness and wellbeing; social and cultural
constructions of hereditary illness; research ethics in the social sciences; migration
and transnationalism; the use of film and art in social science research and dissemination.
Current Projects: Natasha's MA thesis project will explore perceptions of hereditary cancer
risk in a BC First Nation community.
Natasha is also a research assistant on an interdisciplinary research project at the W. Maurice Young Centre for Applied Ethics. This project (Centring the Human Subject in Health Research) aims to understand the experience of being a human subject in health research.
